Yep, the Mustang Bullitt is back. Commemorating the Highland Green '68 Fastback that Lieutenant Frank Bullitt drove in Steve McQueen's most influential (to gearheads, at least) film, it's the third generation of modern Bullitt Mustangs.

And now, you can configure yours on Ford's website.

Not that there's much to configure! The Bullitt has always sat towards the top of the Mustang hierarchy, with plenty of luxury items as standard equipment, and the 2019 model does the same. There's only one engine (the 5.0-liter V8) and one transmission (the six-speed manual) available on the Bullitt; the only wheel choice is 19-inch black Torq-Thrust-style five-spokes. As was previously the case, you can opt for a color that isn't Highland Green, but really, who wants a black Bullitt?

In fact, there's really only one major option package that you can choose to have or not have on the 2019 Bullitt: The $1695 MagneRide adaptive damper suspension. Other options have to do with in-car entertainment, blind spot monitoring, some sporty looking upgrade Recaro seats, and other miscellaneous baubles.

So, truthfully, there won't be a ton of variance between individual Bullitt Mustangs of this generation. And we're okay with that. When you pay tribute to McQueen, you better do it in green.
