A presenter and commentator for Discovery's Street Outlaws: Fastest in America was killed while racing his Datsun 240Z for the show on Sunday morning.

Ryan Fellows, 41, was competing in an event outside of Las Vegas when he lost control of his turbocharged V-8-powered 240 and crashed. Fellows was participating in the eighth of nine planned races that evening. His car rolled and caught fire, with onlookers unable to get him out of the wreckage, TMZ reports.

"The Street Outlaws family is heartbroken by the accident that led to the tragic death of Ryan Fellows," Discovery said in a statement on Twitter. "We extend our deepest sympathy to Ryan's loved ones as they process this sudden and devastating loss.”

This isn't the first time the Street Outlaws series has been struck with tragedy. Co-star JJ Da Boss and his wife Tricia were involved in a crash while racing each other for the show earlier this year. Tricia was taken to the hospital. Back in 2020, cast member Christopher Scott Ellis—nickname "Kentucky"—died at just 39 years old.

"Ryan was an avid car enthusiast and was a road “warrior” in many ways that extended to loves of basketball, cars and business in sales/advertising," Fellows' family said in a statement. "He was admired for tenacity and a relentless drive to overcome the challenges before him."

Fellows leaves behind a wife and two children.
